WHAT:
Sweet Week, a city-wide celebration of all things sweet, is an initiative to drive traffic to small culinary businesses throughout Albuquerque. Sweet Week will include discounts and promotions, small group classes, unique dining experiences, and larger scale events designed to indulge one’s sweet tooth while also supporting non-profit organizations whose mission is to champion employment opportunities for individuals with disabilities.
WHEN:
Sweet Week takes place March 29, 2025 – April 6, 2025, leading up to, and including, the 15th annual Southwest Chocolate and Coffee Fest, taking place April 5-6, 2025 at Expo NM.
WHY:
The Southwest Chocolate and Coffee Fest traditionally attracts 22,000 attendees, many traveling from out of state. Sweet Week has been created to entice Festival attendees to extend their visits and support businesses throughout Albuquerque.
Designed to drive traffic and economic development throughout Albuquerque, we will be utilizing the extensive marketing reach and promotional efforts of the Southwest Chocolate and Coffee Fest, Edible New Mexico magazine, and Blue River Productions to promote Sweet Week’s participating businesses.
Participating businesses will be listed in an online Sweet Week guide, included in social media marketing initiatives, and included in printed guides and digital promotions created by Edible New Mexico magazine.
WHO:
All brick and mortar culinary businesses, or those related to chocolate or coffee, are invited to participate, including, but not limited to; chocolate and coffee shops, restaurants, bars, cafes and any businesses that can naturally tie in chocolate, coffee, or other sweets.
You do not need to be a vendor at the Southwest Chocolate and Coffee Fest to participate in Sweet Week. This is not available for online businesses.
